Choose the correct form of the verb that agrees with the subject.

Well, i will resume from the exercise SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT. In the subject verb agreement, i know about “What is Subject?. Subject is the person/people/thing(s) that do the activity. (I, you, they, we, she, he, it, my dad and my mom, Linda, Sussi, Linda and Sussi, the bank, the flight schedule, etc).

From the subject verb agreement, i know “What is VERB?”. Verb is a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence. And i know “MAIN RULE OF Subject Verb Agreement”. Only the subject affects the verb.

RULE 1 : Subjects and verbs must agree in number. This is the cornerstone rule that forms the background of the concept.

Examples: The dog growls when it is angry.

 The dogs growl when they are angry.

RULE 2 : Don’t get confused by the words that come between the subject and verb; they do not affect agreement.

Examples: The dog, who is chewing on my jeans, is usually very good.

RULE 3 : Prepositional phrases between the subject and verb usually do not affect agreement.

Examples: The colors of the rainbow are beautiful.

RULE 4  : When sentences start with “there” or “here,” the subject will always be placed after the verb, so care needs to be taken to identify it correctly.

Examples: There is a problem with the balance sheet. Here are the papers you requested.

RULE 5 : If two subjects are joined by and, they typically require a plural verb form.

Examples: The cow and the pig are jumping over the moon.

RULE 6 : The verb is singular if the two subjects separated by and refer to the same person or thing.

Examples: Red beans and rice is my mom's favorite dish.

RULE 7 : If one of the words each, every, or no comes before the subject, the verb is singular.

Examplel: No smoking or drinking is allowed. Every man and woman is required to check in.

RULE 8 : If the subjects are both singular and are connected by the words or, nor, neither/nor, either/or, and not only/but also the verb is singular.

Examples: Jessica or Christian is to blame for the accident.

RULE 9 : The only time when the object of the preposition decides plural or singular verb forms is when noun and pronoun subjects like some, half, none, more, all, etc. are followed by a prepositional phrase. In these sentences, the object of the preposition determines the form of the verb.

Examples: All of the chicken is gone.  All of the chickens are gone.

RULE 10 : The singular verb form is usually used for units of measurement or time.

Examples: Four quarts of oil was required to get the car running.

RULE 11 : If the subjects are both plural and are connected by the words or, nor, neither/nor, either/or, and not only/but also, the verb is plural.

Examples: Dogs and cats are both available at the pound.

RULE 12 : If one subject is singular and one plural and the words are connected by the words or, nor, neither/nor, either/or, and not only/but also, you use the verb form of the subject that is nearest the verb.

Examples: Either the bears or the lion has escaped from the zoo. Neither the lion nor the bears have escaped from the zoo.

RULE 13 : Indefinite pronouns (everything, anything, everyone, someone, somebody, nothing, etc) typically take singular verbs.

Examples: Everybody wants to be loved. Everything is gonna be alright.

RULE 14 : Except for the pronouns (few, many, several, both, all, some) that always take the plural form.

Examples: Few were left alive after the flood. Several students understand the material.

RULE 15 : If two infinitives are separated by and they take the plural form of the verb.

Examples: To walk and to chew gum require great skill.

RULE 16 : When gerunds are used as the subject of a sentence, they take the singular verb form of the verb; but, when they are linked by and, they take the plural form.

Examples: Standing in the water was a bad idea. Swimming in the ocean and playing drums are my hobbies.

RULE 17 : Collective nouns like family, committee, herd, senate, class, crowd, etc. usually take a singular verb form.

Examples: The herd is stampeding. Cooper family always attends the annual party.

RULE 18 : Titles of books, movies, novels, etc. are treated as singular and take a singular verb.

Examples: The Burbs is a movie starring Tom Hanks. Harry Potter has reached Top 3 Best Seller books.

Two things that often take them everywhere I go ? hmmmmm Well, when I go anywhere. Many items should I bring. bags, books, farfum, smartphone, drinks, novels, ATM cards, wallets, and so on. All of these items each have a function when I took it. The book is useful at the time I was on campus or at a seminar. Novel  I use when I'm tired of waiting for someone. All the other stuff, I keep it in a bag in order to facilitate my activities.

The next items are very important for me to carry anywhere is a smartphone. Why should carry a smartphone? Because, to be able to provide my smartphone to communicate indirectly and provide valuable information. I still remember when I forgot to bring my smartphone when in a hurry to leave, I felt I was stupid. Because in the global era like this all people a lot to get and provide information via smartphone.

 At that time there kamahita activities, I do not know that these activities change the time from morning to afternoon. I went in the morning and one person was not present at the event because they know these activities change the time and I did not know. I am sorry I did not bring a smartphone and that moment I oblige myself to bring smartphones everywhere I go.

So, two things that I always bring everywhere I go is the bag and smartphones. They like my life's companion everywhere I go.

Well, why my favorite this photo? when I was invited by my friend to a travel destination in Sekadau. At the time I was lazy to go out. only at home. But my friends are still forced me to go with them. "Oh no! Lazy lazy lazy, came out hot, tired, and on the day it is my holiday. That's what I said at the time they took me out. 

After a few hours I was thinking about what I took them out or not, they again asked me if I had come out with them or not? I answered NO. They're forcing me to go with them and they told me that I would regret it if I did not join them at the time. I asked, "was it so beautiful as you force me to stay out?" they did not answer, but they pulled me and took off with them. And finally, I followed them on to the place.

When we came to the area, I silent and hugged my friends. Subhanallah, his place is very beautiful, her flowers scattered around the edge of the lake, swans wandering in the courtyard garden and the cool air and the atmosphere was happy to meet with my friends. we also selfie and groufie at the venue. There is no moment did we capture, we even write memories for us on the spot with our name names carved in stone is in place.

This picture that I liked. In addition to this photo gives a good impression, this picture also gives the impression of happy in my heart and my best friend. We are happy with the moments that feel the world is ours.

Welcome to my blogger

         Hello, everybody. Allow me to introduce my self. My complete name is Santi. you can call me Santi. I was born in Sekadau. I live at Desa Kapur.

         My hobies are watch movie and comedy because all that make me happy and laugh. I graduated from  1 senior high school Sekadau , and now I am studing in Tanjung Pura university.  Iam confident. I also inteligent so I have a lot friends. sometimes I become annoying person and selfish. I like study and I smile a lot.

         I'll tell you why I can study at the faculty of agriculture. I choose courses Soil science. Why? These two elective courses to me when registering at the university Tanjung Pura.

            A few months ago, when I knew that I was received in the program study of Soil Science , Tanjungpura University, I felt disappointed. However, when one of my lecturer entered to my classroom “Anggrek 5” to give us motivation,  I realized that I was very  lucky can get study in the program study of Soil Science , Tanjungpura University. As my lecturer say that the program study of soil science not only learn about subsoil, lern how deep the soil, how large the soil, material of the soil and types of the soil, but we can learn more than that, like how we make maps in an area, etc. So that, I begin to feel  proud study in the program study of Soil Science , Tanjungpura University.

          The reason why I stay afloat in my new position right now, which still in the department of soil science, is because I realize  that the knowledge is very important, and my program study have greater  job opportunities too. So, why not, and tomorrow  I have to study hard.

          My hope is may all of us who study in the program study of Soil Science in 2016 generation, will graduation on time, we become agent of change and make Indonesia be better. Now, I am getting excited, increasingly work hard, and “ikhlas”. The last, I hope, I will graduating 4 years more and be a smart student.
